The problem
A martial arts school needed signage that carried both the club's kanji and a figure in mid-kick — fine, uneven linework that gets lost when it is printed flat and turns to mush on a laser cutter.
What we did
The figure and characters were machined as separate layers so the outline is physically raised, then lit from behind. The result reads from across the training floor, and the same artwork was repeated on smaller plaques for the wall.

The problem
A hospitality venue wanted its wordmark to work in two very different states: readable in daylight when the bar is open for lunch, and atmospheric in the evening without blowing out the room.
What we did
Brushed metallic lettering on a dark timber-effect panel, lit from behind rather than from the face. In daylight the contrast carries it; at night the halo does, and the colour can be changed to suit the event.

The problem
A radio station's identity combines a skyline, a transmitter mast and heavy display type — three different kinds of detail that need to stay legible when stacked into one panel.
What we did
Each element was cut and finished as its own layer, so the mast sits proudly of the skyline and the type proudly of both. Lighting the assembly from behind separates the layers visually instead of flattening them.

Machined on our own router, hand-finished, and fitted with LEDs. Fixed white or RGB with a remote — your call.

Delivered and mounted
We bring it, hang it, and make sure it's straight and powered. Then we photograph it lit — and you get those shots too.

That is not a boast, it is the reason the work looks like this. Owning the whole chain — design, machine, finish, wiring — means nothing gets compromised because a supplier said no.
We built the machine
The CNC router that cuts these signs was designed and assembled in this shop — frame, drives, control cabinet, dust extraction. When something needs to move differently, we change the machine instead of changing your design.
Drawn in CAD, not traced
Every job is modelled properly before it is cut, which is why fine detail — laurel wreaths, serifs, thin script — survives the router instead of turning to mush.
We make our own LED housings
The fixtures behind the face are our own design, not off-the-shelf strip pushed into a channel. That is what keeps the glow even instead of showing hot spots.

you call
If your question is not here, phone the shop — you will get a straight answer rather than a brochure.
- How much does a custom sign cost?
- It depends on size, how many layers the design needs and whether it is lit. Rather than guess, we price the specific job: send the logo and a rough size, and you get a fixed quote alongside the 3D preview. The quote does not move once you accept it.
- How long does it take?
- Turnaround depends on size and on what is already in the queue — ask when you enquire and you will get a real date, not an optimistic one. Rush work is sometimes possible; it is worth asking.
- I only have a logo as a JPEG. Is that a problem?
- No. Most jobs start from something rough — a photo, a screenshot, sometimes a sketch. We redraw the artwork properly in CAD before anything is cut, which is part of the job rather than an extra.
- Can the sign change colour?
- Yes. RGB with a remote is an option on most pieces, so the same sign can be white on a normal day and your team colours on match day. Fixed single-colour lighting is also available and is usually a little cheaper.
- Will it survive a Chicago winter?
- Outdoor pieces are built and finished for outdoor use — that changes the materials, the sealing and the wiring. Tell us where the sign is going when you enquire, because an indoor build put outside will not last.
- Do you install, or do I arrange that?
- We install. The sign arrives, gets mounted straight and powered, and we check it lit before leaving. If your site needs an electrician for a new supply, we will tell you in advance rather than on the day.
- Can you match my exact brand colours?
- Yes — send the colour references you use (Pantone, RAL or a printed sample) and the paint is mixed to match. Bear in mind that a colour lit from behind reads differently to the same colour on paper; we will flag it if a shade will not behave.
- Do you do small one-off pieces, or only big commercial jobs?
- Both. House numbers, single decorative pieces and gifts go through the same shop as storefront signage. There is no minimum order.
- Can you make something nobody else will take on?
- Usually. Fine detail is where a router beats a laser — thin script, laurel wreaths, layered crests. If a shape genuinely will not work, we will say so before you pay, and normally suggest what would.
- Do you speak Polish?
- Yes. Mówimy po polsku — a good share of our work has been for Polish businesses and clubs in the Chicago area and back in Poland.
